The Rental Process

Search & Viewing

Use platforms like iProperty or PropertyGuru, or engage a real estate agent. Agents typically work for free for the tenant.

Letter of Offer & Booking

Once you find the ideal property, you sign a letter of offer and pay a booking deposit (usually one month rent) to réservé it.

Tenancy Agreement & Deposits

You sign the tenancy agreement (usually 1 year) and pay the security deposit (2-3 months rent) plus the first month's rent.

Stamping & Move-In

The agreement is stamped at the LHDN office (a mandatory legal step). You get the keys and can move in!
