Bonjour Malaisie is an independent guide published by the Bonjour Malaisie team. We publish practical guides about Malaysia in English and French: settling in and expatriation, visas and MM2H, housing, healthcare, schools, cost of living, as well as destinations, itineraries, beaches and activities for travellers. The site is funded by affiliate partnerships (hotel and activity bookings) and by our paid services (transfers, tours, private driver hire): that is what keeps access to our guides completely free, with no intrusive advertising and no disguised sponsored content.
Our editorial method
Every guide is written from verifiable sources and measured data, then reviewed before publication. We always give price ranges in Malaysian ringgit (RM) with a euro equivalent, administrative conditions as published by the Malaysian authorities, and real distances or journey times. When information depends on the date or the profile (visa, tax, school fees), we say so in the text and date the page. We correct a page as soon as a fact changes, and every update is traceable in our version log.
- Primary sources first: official Malaysian sites (immigration, ministries), institutions and providers themselves.
- Prices and timelines are dated: no range without a reference year.
- No invented figures: an estimate is presented as an estimate.
- Continuous updates, with a public version history.
What we cover
Two audiences, held to the same standard: expatriates settling in (visas, housing, healthcare, schools, banking, tax, transport, cost of living) and travellers discovering the country (destinations, itineraries, beaches and islands, where to eat, activities, budgets).
