Access to Rawa is straightforward as it is handled exclusively by the resorts on the island. You cannot visit for a day trip without being a guest.
1. Land Journey: You must first make your way to the Mersing jetty in the state of Johor. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours from Kuala Lumpur or about 2-3 hours from Singapore.
2. Sea Journey: The resorts operate their own private speedboats from their office at the Mersing jetty. The boat trip is short, taking only about 20-30 minutes to reach the island. This boat transfer is arranged as part of your accommodation package when you book your stay.
It is mandatory to book a package directly with either Rawa Island Resort or Alang's Rawa to visit the island.
